Police launch appeal to find missing Airdrie woman Kirsty Aitchison

A DEAF mum-of-four who is originally from Airdrie has gone missing after a night out with friends.

Kirsty Aitchison, now living in the Robroyston area of Glasgow, was last seen in its city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 30-year-old, who has family and friends residing in Monklands, had been enjoying an evening with pals and left Campus bar on Sauchiehall Street at around 3am.

Kirsty, who is white, is described as being 5ft tall, of slim build and with long dark-coloured hair. When she was last seen she was wearing a black top, cream skirt and black sandals.

Inspector Leigh McManus from Greater Glasgow Division said: “Kirsty hasn’t been missing before and it is completely out of character for her not to keep in contact with her family and friends.

“She was reported missing to police on Sunday afternoon.

“Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace her, and I would ask anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact Shettleston Police Office through the non-emergency number 101.”

A number of Kirsty’s friends on Facebook have changed their avatar to an image of her with the caption: Praying For Her Safety Home.
