Mechanical Fitter Motherwell (Sites across Scotland), £21.00 per hour + overtime, (1.5x) + paid travel, Mon–Fri | 7:30am–4:00pm | 40 hrs

We are currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter based in the Motherwell area for an immediate start on a temp-to-perm contract. This role involves working across multiple sites throughout Scotland, primarily within the water and wastewater sector. The position offers long-term stability, consistent hours, and excellent earning potential through regular overtime and paid travel time.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical installation works on water and wastewater treatment sites

• Install pumps, screens, and various types of rotating equipment

• Complete installation of pipework, valves, and associated mechanical systems

• Work safely and efficiently across multiple sites throughout Scotland

• Ensure all work is completed in line with project specifications, quality standards, and current health & safety regulations

• Follow site-specific RAMS and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Fitter

• Previous experience within the water, wastewater, or a similar industrial environment

• Strong pump installation experience, including centrifugal, multistage, and progressive cavity pumps

• Valid CSCS card – essential

• Confined Space certification – essential

• DOMS certification desirable but not essential

• Good health & safety awareness and the ability to work from RAMS
