Estimator – Glasgow (£30,000–£35,000)

Responsibilities

Design & Technical

• Prepare façade and shop drawings in AutoCAD
• Develop details for curtain walling, windows, doors and ironmongery
• Interpret architectural/structural drawings
• Apply façade principles (loads, weathering, drainage, thermal performance)
• Liaise with fabrication teams and support design approvals

Estimating & Commercial

• Review tender documents and determine scope
• Prepare cost estimates and quotations
• Complete material take-offs
• Obtain supplier/subcontractor pricing
• Identify risks, exclusions and value‑engineering opportunities
• Support tender submissions and project handovers

Requirements

• 5–10 years’ façade experience (design, estimating or both)
• Strong background in steel façade systems
• High competency in AutoCAD
• Ability to read architectural/structural drawings
• Strong numeracy and commercial awareness
• Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail

Preferred

• Schüco / Jansen systems
• SchüCal or LogiKal
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of CWCT, BS/EN standards and UK Building Regulations
