Production Operator

We’re recruiting for a Production Operator to join a growing manufacturing company in Bellshill. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity offering full training, long-term career prospects, and no weekend work. You’ll be responsible for operating production equipment, uploading software to products, carrying out quality checks, and updating production records using computer systems, including basic Microsoft Excel. About The Role

Production Operator

As a Production Operator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the manufacturing process. You’ll help ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, you’ll work as part of a busy production team to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

As part of your day-to-day role, you will:

  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently while following all company procedures and work instructions.
  • Upload software to production equipment and products as part of the manufacturing process.
  • Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications.
  • Accurately update and maintain production records using computer-based systems.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to input, update, and manage production data.
  • Monitor production processes and report any faults, defects, or equipment issues to the relevant team members.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation. Meanwhile, ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily production targets.
  • Assist with assembly, packaging, labelling, and other production duties whenever required.
  • Finally, contribute to continuous improvement by following best practices and supporting an efficient manufacturing environment.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Although previous production or manufacturing experience is beneficial, it isn’t essential. Full training will be provided.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be confident using computers and comfortable working with digital systems. In addition, you’ll have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel. You’ll also have excellent attention to detail and be able to follow written instructions accurately.

Furthermore, you’ll be a dependable team player with strong communication skills. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Above all, you’ll be proactive, eager to learn, and willing to support your colleagues.
