We are currently recruiting an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established and reputable facilities management business covering the Central Belt of Scotland, with occasional travel to Aberdeen, Inverness and Dundee. This is a secure, long-term opportunity offering a competitive basic salary, strong overtime potential, and a fully equipped company van package.

  • Competitive salary of £40,000 – £42,000 per annum
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x after 5pm and double time on Sundays
  • Paid travel time door-to-door at basic rate
  • 39-hour working week (Mon–Thurs 8:30am–5:00pm, Fri 8:30am–4:00pm)
  • Fully equipped company van, fuel card, and specialist tools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out installation of air conditioning systems across commercial sites
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on VRV/VRF systems, split units, and commercial refrigeration
  • Diagnose faults and carry out reactive mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Perform F-Gas compliant leak checks and refrigerant recovery
  • Maintain accurate F-Gas records and compliance documentation
  • Complete service reports using PDA/tablet systems

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds 2079-11 Level 2 (Category 1) F-Gas or BESA equivalent
  • City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Hydrocarbon Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Systems
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or time-served apprenticeship)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in service and fault-finding
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Valid CSCS Skill Card (IPAF and PASMA desirable)
